1.Name
2025 International Songjiang Symposium on Railway Noise and Vibration Control
2. Symposium background
Many countries and regions in the world are vigorously developing rail transit. As for China, by the end of 2024, the mileage of high-speed railway has reached more than 48,000 km, forming a high-speed rail network with 8 north-south lines and 8 east-west lines. China has also seen a boom in urban railway, with a total mileage of more than 10,000 km in 58 cities. The development of rail transit facilitates people's travel and promotes economic and social development; however, it also brings many vibration and noise problems. The vibration and noise problem of rail transit is featured by huge systems, wide frequency ranges, complex mechanisms and a large number of factors. It is faced with great challenges both in scientific research and engineering application. The purpose of establishing this international symposium is, relying on the international cooperation and exchange mechanisms of the state, the Shanghai city and the university, to create a platform for national and international researchers of rail transit vibration and noise control, especially young scholars, to exchange research results, inspire research ideas and create cooperation opportunities. The first edition of the symposium took place on 18-19 November 2023 at Songjiang. The Songjiang Symposium was successfully held twice consecutively in 2023 and 2024.
